Alan Wake 2 is a survival horror game developed by Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind Control and the original Alan Wake. Set thirteen years after the disappearance of author Alan Wake, the story follows FBI agent Saga Anderson as she investigates a string of ritualistic murders in the town of Bright Falls, Washington, while Alan himself remains trapped in the nightmarish alternate dimension known as the Dark Place, using his writing to try to shape reality and escape. Players alternate between Saga and Alan across two intertwined narratives, combining tense survival horror combat, atmospheric exploration, and a distinctive blend of live-action and in-game cinematics.
